Zoom Conferencing

Zoom lets you to join meetings from your desktop, mobile device or landline.
The instructions below are for Deb’s personal Zoom meetup. If you find yourself alone, check your booking confirmation to confirm which meeting-id and password to use.

Join a call

When using a computer or mobile device, just click this link. You will be prompted to install Zoom if it is your first time.

Or join by phone:
using your local dial-in number (below) and Meeting ID: 5150660940 OR the meeting ID in the confirmation email you received after you booked online.

What you need to participate:

  • the Join link and Meeting ID from your meeting invitation
  • a desktop computer, mobile device or phone
    • if using desktop:
      • a headset (if feedback/echo is usually a problem for you)
      • the Zoom app – you’ll be prompted to install this upon first use, so allow an extra 20 minutes for this.
    • if using smartphone or tablet:
      • download the free Zoom Cloud Meetings app for Android or iOS
    • if using a telephone:
      • find your local conference dial-in number. Note: these are NOT toll-free numbers. Your phone company should be able to tell you what a call will cost.
      • your phone must be able to produce normal touchtone sounds in order to join the conference. (Problems? Check the phone manual or ask your technical support provider how to turn touch-tones on.)
      • You might be able to dial in using Skype and other VOIP calling services, but be aware: it could decrease call quality for everyone on the call.

How to join a call

  • WITH A LINK:
    click the Join link in your meeting’s invitation or at the top of this page
  • VIA THE APP:
    Start your Zoom app and enter your Meeting ID (and password) from the invitation, or from the top of this page.
  • BY PHONE – you will be asked to enter your Meeting ID number (and password)
  • If your conference requires a password, it will be listed in the invitation.
