Strong winds, cold temperatures and heavy lake effect snows produce near total whiteout conditions on hwy 404 Northbound approach Stouffville Rd. Such conditions are common under heavy snow squalls with the predominance of blowing and drifting snow ncreasing as the temperature decreases.
